I recently had a sip of Bermet and it was very interesting indeed. It's a very sweet wine, different from any other I've tried so far, will definitelly try to get more and write about it. Thanks!

I live in Novi Sad (about 80km from Belgrade). Next to it is a very small town Sremski Karlovci famous for couple of things. When Autro-Hungarian and Turkish Empire agreed on their peace in Sremski Karlovci they had "Bermet" wine on their tables. "Bermet" is a traditional wine you have for Christmass in this region and it's specific to this region. It is a sweet wine (with 20 herbs). That is just one wine I can recommend. Once a year there is a wine festival in Sremski Karlovci (usually in September), and in Novi Sad (in the summer).
